AL Central Update

DET lost to KC tonight after MIN lost to CHW earlier today. Both teams got 95 Ws. This is the most competitive AL division, for sure. (CHW got 90 wins as the 3rd place; just don't count in KC as part of the most competitive division calculation)

ONE LAST GAME left to determine the AL Central tiltle (DET has to lose & MIN has to win, in order for Twins to win division title; if MIN loses, DET wins division title, regardless of the result of this last game):

KC @ DET
1:05 pm EDT J. Bonderman vs. O. Pérez

CHW @ MIN
2:10 pm EDT S. Baker vs. J. Vázquez

Central W L Pct GB Home Road East Cent West Streak L10
x-Detroit (1) 95 66 .590 -- 46-34 49-32 16-17 45-29 19-17 Lost 4 5-5
x-Minnesota 95 66 .590 -- 53-27 42-39 22-13 40-35 17-16 Lost 2 5-5
Chi White Sox 90 71 .559 5.0 49-32 41-39 17-17 40-35 19-15 Won 3 5-5
Cleveland 77 84 .478 18.0 43-37 34-47 18-14 35-40 16-20 Won 3 7-3
Kansas City 61 100 .379 34.0 34-47 27-53 12-25 26-47 13-20 Won 2 3-7

Tigers' JB can prove his potential as a true ace in the last regular season game. Odalis has been bad all season, that's why he got traded to the Royals...

Young prospect Baker can earn himself a solid rotation spot for next year with the division crown in reach. Javier has been given up lots of runs and hasn't won a game since Aug. 10. MIN has a good chance to take this last game. Twins just have to hope the Royals bat come alive, really alive against DET & take the last game from Tigers.

Gotta love the playoff race!!
